Current mood: lazy
Current music:Lovely 2 C U - Goldfrapp

think we are finally settled in. it's different but it's also just right. moving went as it typically does. somehow most of our cheapo plastic plates and bowls got lost in transit as well as our coffee mugs. every time the last week we thought we were done we remembered something else we had forgotten. i completely forgot about the drawers and all the knives and silverware were back at the house the first day we moved the furniture here and stayed the night. we wound up cutting our pizzas with a cleaver after fishing them off the oven's racks with a frying pan.
tomorrow we start the routine again. she goes to school i go and exercise. then shower time and lunch. then she comes home and Joshua leaves for work and Ari leaves with her mentor. then i'm alone for about four hours till she is almost home, i make dinner, she arrives we or she eats. time to relax and then that's it. i don't know how much longer she will be in the mentoring program, or how in the hell she can practice her instrument here in the apartment. we'll figure something out though.
i want to cook tonight but i didn't make it to any of the fun ethnic stores. international has all the fun asian foods and mariana's is the place to be for any latin food. i was thinking of zucchini fritters with a romesco sauce, or just a typical stir fry with rice, or curry veggies with rice.. then i was thinking about chilies rellenos, enchiladas and of course guacamole. and the horchata! i'm so fucking hungry right now for spice and heat.
we haven't hung up any of the paintings yet or put away any of the books. our cheapo bookshelves broke when they were moved and we just left them there. there are piles and piles of books all over the kitchen floor. we watched righteous kill which was neither good nor bad, and the bucket list which was entertaining which was all it was supposed to be.
outside of that i haven't been up to much outside of video games. playing a lot of viva pinata trouble in paradise, finished fallout 3, learning how to play okami on the wii again.

1) I love that song.

2) I'm so envious that you can cook!

on new years my friend and i made 'white mexicans', which is just a white russian only you use horchata instead of cream. they were awesome! also, i need to do the same thing with okami. i'm at the final boss but i haven't played in forever. boss fights stress me the fuck out. how lame is that?!

we tried them last night and it was amazing yet dangerous how quick they went down.

1. sooo glad the move went okay. i hate moving, i always lose stuff too. and i still have piles and piles of books all over my house even though i've lived there a year, so i hope you have better luck on that score than me.
2. "i'm so fucking hungry right now for spice and heat." a hot line, totally. xo
3. you are absolutely right in saying that "you never know" is the best song off of supernature. i concur. you have black cherry? listen to deep honey for me.
4. did i mention before that i love your tiger lily hair? it really suits you.
5. erm... nothing else to say except that i hope you are well and that i miss the artichoke theme...

xoxo

#3 oooh, deep honey is reminding me of how much i love the let it take you. it's so dreamy, and it reminds me of the ocean at night a bit for some weird reason. my kitties even love Goldfrapp's voice hehe.
#2 i had too much of a good thing and was regretting it. giardinaria pizzas and burritos with chipotle overkill caught up with me..
#4 i really really love the color. i think it should be renamed jack o'lantern though since when i first do it it's the color of the outside of the pumpkin perfectly, and as it fades it turns the exact color of the pumpkin's flesh.
#1 eventually things will get put away and sorted out. we still need to find a bookcase that isn't knicked or the display or too much money. we did get new plastic cups dishes. i told Josh his new drinking cup should be this one Photobucket but he didn't.
#5 i could do artichoke theme again. i was thinking of starting a photo journal so why not?
